The First Congregational Church of Wiscasset held its 23rd Annual Summerfest, from 9am to 2pm on Saturday, July 22nd on the
Town Common.
Some of the all day activities included: Antiques & Collectibles; Treasure Tables; Jewelry; Books; Knits/Crafts; Toys;
Plants; New & Used Items; Hand-crafted Wooden Items; Baked Goods; Candy; Uncommon Café (seating available); Silent Auction
(great items donated from area merchants) featured a 7' 11" Dyer Sailing Dinghy as well as a 1981 AMF Alcort Sunbird
Sailboat; games for children; A Candy Kitchen, the On Common Cafe'. The entertainment throughout the day featured the "Ragtime
Rascals", Donald Duncan on the bagpipes and "Senior Momentum", a barbershop quartet.
ALL PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED TO AREA CHARITIES FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE COMMUNITY! Summerfest Committee announced the
amount Summerfest 2006 raised was $8375 for local outreach programs a significant increase over 2005 which was shared with
area outreach programs.
